Short summary
This study aimed to determine the changes in the performance, welfare, and productivity level of broiler chickens reared at various group sizes under intensive field conditions. Rearing in groups of 6000 broilers had better performance and higher overall productivity than others, but they tended to show more serious body defects, while a group size of 3000 broilers was more favorable in terms of welfare.
