Abstract. Seventy day old New Zealand rabbits had a significantly higher level of glutathione /GSH/ in the liver, kidney and muscle than the animals aged 140 days. The random and inbred mated New Zealand rabbits revealed higher its concentration than those of the Bay Black breed.

Injection of 10% MgS04 Solution caused an increase of glutathione level in the studied liver, kidney and muscle.
