Züchtungsbiologische Bewertung der Leistungsselektion beim Milchrind
Abstract. Title of the paper: Breeding and biological evaluation of yield selection in dairy cattle In the course of natural selection metabolic pathways has been improved with regard to reproductive fitness. Yield selection, however, aimes at specific alterations in favour of other traits. The directed reorganization of the genotypic and metabolic constellation leads to an increasing number of individuals, disturbed in their biological balance. This fact has been proved on the example of milk selection in cattle.
